One highlight

Two wins this week: a successful production demo at work as we head into launch, and getting back on track with fitness after a few rough weeks.

Work

In the final phase of launching a project I’ve been deeply involved in. Spent the week on testing, running production demos with the PM and other stakeholders. A big milestone was figuring out how to do in-production testing for new features — a real win for catching issues early. Excited to get this over the line.

Fitness

Back at it after a stretch of low motivation. Nothing dramatic — just three days at the gym — but it feels good to have restarted. The goal now is consistency.

Tech & learning

Explored Vercel’s JSON render package and a similar open-source utility that lets you register your component library so that when an LLM generates UI, it outputs your actual components instead of generic HTML/CSS. It also does validation on the LLM output, which is a nice touch.

Looked into chrome mcp for agents — control Chrome from Cursor or Claude via Puppeteer. Earlier browser automation solutions were too slow; curious whether this one holds up. Planning to try it this week.

Watched Andrei Karpathy’s video on how LLMs work. Thought I had a solid mental model already, but this gave me a noticeably clearer picture of pre-training, post-training, reasoning, RLHF, and how the field has evolved. Highly recommend revisiting. Will add notes later.

What’s next

Focus on work-life balance and building the fitness habit back properly. Aiming for five gym sessions next week.
