One highlight
Signed up for an 84 km cycling race — two weeks out now. Good motivation to shift training focus, and a nice cap on what was otherwise a solid fitness week.
Work
Mostly KTLO — keep the lights on. We’re still working through designs for the new project, so it’s not ready for engineering execution yet. In the meantime, the week went into maintaining the launched work: fixing customer support issues and chipping away at migrations — Nuxt and a handful of other backend services.
Fitness
A good week — one hike and three gym sessions. Also signed up for an 84 km cycling race coming up in two weeks, so the next couple of weeks of workouts will be focused around getting ready for that.
Tech & learning
Started CS Primer — really enjoying it so far. It’s aimed at senior engineers, and the content is clicking with me: interesting fundamentals, framed through problem-solving rather than theory dumps. You start with a problem and figure out what you need along the way, which feels much closer to how real engineering work actually goes. Been making good progress through the modules.

- Nothing notable this week.
What’s next
Cycling-focused training for the race. Keep going on CS Primer. At work, more of the same — KTLO, support fixes, and backend migrations while we wait for the new project designs to land.
